Who we are…

We are Janne, Patrice, Tom and Sina. While Janne and Patrice will join this trip for the first three months, Tom and Sina will travel all the way back to Germany by land.

At the moment we all live in Mömlingen (North-Bavaria, Germany).

We about us

Sina (26, from Mömlingen, Germany): Sina is our organizing, writing and editing machine. She is quite opposed to Tom`s Lonely Planet policy (as she knows the guidebook by heart) and always knows where to go. She thinks nothing of covering a 1.000km in the outback in a day, while sleeping in the back of the car. Sina lives to travel and has recently completed a Masters in tourism management after working as a sales and product manager. She can`t wait for the delights of remote China and the beauty of Iran.

Tom (25, from Liverpool, UK): Tom doesn’t like our Lonely Planet; however, wouldn’t have a clue without it (he refutes this).  He`s one of our drivers in Australia, responsible for some of the articles on this blog and the only one of us who got seriously sunburned so far (he`s English J). After studying law, he spent one year in Nepal working for an NGO. He just quit his job as an office manager in Liverpool and can`t wait to discover other parts of Asia and is especially looking forward to the ‘stans.

Janne (23, from Mömlingen, Germany): Janne is our expert outback map reader (as there is only one road). When she is not mastering the world of maps she is busy photographing the wonderful and abundant nature. In this regard there is no memory card that can contain her enthusiasm. For the last two years she has worked as a nurse on the intermediate care ward in Frankfurt Hospital. Her caring nature has positioned Janne as the groups nurse, regularly medicating, hydrating and sun cream applicating.

Patrice (32, from Mömlingen, Germany): Patrice is one of our drivers in Australia. Unfortunately, he missed the chance to get a student/youth discount for his flight over (as it ends with 32 J). He has a lot of respect for everything that moves on the ground and double-checks his sleeping bag every night to make sure not to take any spiders, ants or snakes with him to bed. For one month he hasn’t needed an alarm, as he wakes grudgingly with the sunrise. Patrice is also a qualified nurse and was working in Erlenbach Hospital before this trip.

We would like to say a warm thank you for your time and interest, your comments and your donation, which is highly appreciated!
