A few guidelines…

Along the tour we have certain guidelines to help us lessen our impact or affect the places we visit in a positive way. We will be

- using public transport unless operationally impossible

- staying with local people or in local accommodation throughout

- using only locally owned and operated ‘eateries’

- using not more than 2 plastic bottles per week per person.

Our reason for sticking to these guidelines is that by doing so we can choose to direct our ‘tourist revenue’ to businesses which enhance the communities they operate in. We want to contribute to the places we visit.

Projects!!    

Our plan is to visit organisations along our route who are working to improve people’s lives. We will seek out organisations using tourism but it’s not a prerequisite.  We feel that any exposure and help we can give to small NGOs is the right thing to do! It allows local people to directly inform potential tourists of the issues they are dealing with and how they can be addressed.
